LG has expanded its Optimus series with the unveiling of QWERTY slider Optimus Q2. Sporting a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen with 800×480 resolution, the phone features In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology for brighter display.
Optimus Q2 is just 12.3mm thick and weighs mere 147 grams. Powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, the phone will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.
The phone will come with 5 megapixel rear camera reportedly capable of 1080p video recording and a front-facing VGA camera for video calling. For connectivity, Optimus Q2 will come with Bluetooth 3.0, 3G support and WiFi Direct.
The phone is expected to launch in Korea next week.
